Getting Started

  1. Open the app and wait for license validation.
  2. Click the folder icon to set your game path to your World of Warcraft folder.
  3. Select your Class/Spec from the dropdown.
  4. Assign your spell keybinds and choose a global Pause Key.
  5. Press Start. The app will generate and inject the addon.
  6. In the game, type /reload to load the newly injected addon.

Addon Injection & Pixel Workflow

Max Combat Assistant uses a secure, pixel-based workflow. It does not read game memory.

  • When you press Start, the app generates a randomized addon name and injects it into your WoW AddOns folder.
  • The addon creates a small pixel frame in the corner of your screen.
  • The app reads these pixels to determine which spell is off cooldown, and sends simulated keystrokes based on your configured keybinds.
  • Always /reload your UI after pressing Start to ensure the newest addon logic is active.

Keybinds & Profiles

Supported Formats

The app's keybind engine supports a highly flexible formatting system. You can type keybinds in the UI using any of these methods:

  • Natural Format: Ctrl+1, Shift+F2, Alt+;, Ctrl+\
  • Compact Format: c1 (Ctrl+1), cs2 (Ctrl+Shift+2), sf3 (Shift+F3), a5 (Alt+5)
  • Numpad & Special: num0-num9, num*, home, del, tab, space
  • OEM Punctuation: Supports international layouts like § (oem8), < (oem102), `, \

Best Practices

  • Use unique binds not shared with system shortcuts (like Alt+F4).
  • Profiles are saved automatically per-spec. You can switch between active profiles (e.g., Arena, PvE).
  • The Pause Key works globally. Press it to temporarily stop the rotation.

Common Issues

Symptom: Spells trigger in the wrong order or don't cast.

Fix: Ensure your app keybinds exactly match your in-game action bars.

Auto Interrupts (Kicks)

The app includes an advanced auto-kicker to help with Mythic+ and Arena.

Kick Mode

  • Mode 1 (Blacklist): Kicks everything except the spells listed in your Cast Except list.
  • Mode 2 (Whitelist): Kicks only the spells listed in your Cast Only list.

Timing Percentages

  • Cast Percent: The percentage at which to interrupt normal casts (e.g., 20%).
  • Channel Percent: The percentage at which to interrupt channeled spells.

Healer Setup & Target Selection

Healer programs can operate in both manual and automatic target selection modes. To toggle between these modes, use the macro:

/xy smode

Create this macro in-game, replacing the letters 'xy' with the first two letters of the program addon's name. Place the macro on the panel and use it as needed to switch the selection mode. The name of the program add-on and the macro itself can be found in the program settings.

Group Member Selection

Configure group member selection settings to the default:

  • F1 selects your character
  • F2 selects the first member of the group
  • F3 selects the second
  • F4 selects the third
  • F5 selects the fourth

Focus Target (Damage While Healing)

To enable the program to deal damage in addition to healing, create the in-game macro:

/target focustarget

Place this macro on your action bar and bind it to the corresponding spell slot in the app's keybinds.

Focus Target Configuration in App

Example: Binding the macro in the application's spell list.

Set focus (RMB on the portrait - Remember target) on the group member whose target the program should attack when healing is not required.

Raid Macro Mapping

To use the programs in a raid, create 30 in-game macros:

/target raidX

Replace 'X' with numbers from 1 to 30. Place the created macros on the panels and bind them to buttons as follows:

  • Ctrl + F1...F10 for macros /target raid1 .. /target raid10
  • Ctrl + Shift + F1...F10 for macros /target raid11 .. /target raid20
  • Shift + F1...F10 for macros /target raid21 .. /target raid30

Healing Logic & Thresholds

You can fine-tune when major heals are triggered based on health percentages.

Discipline Priest Defaults

Surge / Atonement

Threshold: 95%

Flash Heal

Threshold: 30%

Penance

Threshold: 70%

Pet Selection: You can configure which pet variant you use (Mindbender, Voidwraith, or Shadowfiend) in the app settings.

Troubleshooting

WoW Not Found

Make sure the game is running and you selected the correct World of Warcraft folder where your game executable is located.

Rotation Not Working

Ensure the addon is enabled in-game. Make sure no other UI addons (like ElvUI) are blocking the top-left corner of your screen where pixels are drawn.

Keybinds Not Firing

Run the app as Administrator. Disable heavy overlays (Discord overlay, recording software) that might intercept inputs.

FAQ

Does this read or write game memory?

No. Max Combat Assistant uses an entirely external, pixel-based workflow. It only reads screen pixels and simulates standard keyboard inputs.

Can I use my key on my laptop and desktop?

No. One license is strictly tied to one machine (HWID) at a time.

Why is my addon name random?

To improve security, the app automatically generates a fresh, randomized addon name each time you start the engine.
